Louis Van Gaal: “You must always identify yourself with the main goal”
The head coach of the Dutch national team, Louis van Gaal, shared his stance on what his team should achieve and what it can achieve at the World Cup held in Qatar.
I agree with the criticism, but we have 17 wins and I think if you look at the goal difference, we deserve respect. I hope it’s not pressure when we talk about his goal to win the World Cup. One should always identify with the main purpose from which he came. It’s wrong to say that your goal is to make it to the playoffs or anything like that.
I never said we would be world champions. I was just saying we could do it, we had a chance,” van Gaal said.
The Dutch team is the leader in Group A with 4 points after 2 matches. He will play the third round match against Qatar on Tuesday, November 29.
