Marcus RASHFORD: “I play football for moments like this”
England striker Marcus Rashford commented on his win over Wales (3:0) in the third round match of the World Cup group stage when he scored a double goal.
“It’s a great feeling. After the match against the USA (0:0), we were a little disappointed as a team. I thought we could play much better and the only way to improve was to play well in the next game. It seems to me that we succeeded.
We defended very well in the first half, we didn’t give them a chance, we spoiled the game and used our chances.
I play football for moments like this. The most important moments, the most beautiful moments and I am really happy today. I am happy that we are going to the next round of the tournament. “I still have big goals for this team and I think we can play better than today,” said Rashford.
In the 1/8 final, England team will face Senegal.
