Tyson: ‘If Canelo dares to touch Messi, I’ll get back in the ring’
Canelo Alvarez’s recent threats against Lionel Messi, who accused him of stepping on Mexico’s shirt after Argentina’s win, also brought Mike Tyson into play, taking on the role of Pulga’s defender.
Several days have passed since Argentina’s match against Mexico, in which Albiceleste won 2-0 with Lionel Messi as the star (he opened the scoring with an amazing shot from outside the box), and this match for the second day of the World Cup will always be still held up to date.
Canelo Alvarez caused the Mexican boxer to attack the Parisian superstar, accusing him of stepping on Mexico’s shirt during his dressing room celebrations.
“To he prays to god i don’t find him before me… just as I respect Argentina, he must respect Mexico”, stressed, among other things, that the Mexican boxer – through his message on Twitter – turned to Messi, with the response coming and being dynamic.
And that’s because one of the most famous boxers in history, Mike Tyson, took on the role of defending Pulga, with the veteran American boxer warning the Mexican through his testimonies to BBO Sports.
“Someone called ‘Canelo’ threatened Messi. If he dares to touch Messi, I have to get back in the ring.”
Most likely, though, Tyson won’t need to return to the ring as Messi has made it clear he didn’t show disrespect to Mexico during the celebrations and Canelo Alvarez has already apologized to the Argentine:
“In the last few days I’ve been swept up in the passion and love I have for my country and I’ve made inappropriate comments, so I want to apologize to Messi and the Argentine world.”
