Tite stressed Croatia were a team with technical qualities as he defended his decision to dance with Richarlison after scoring against South Korea, insisting he would continue to do so.

Brazil play Croatia with the World Cup semi-finals in the background, and in Qatar there is still talk of Tite’s involvement in his players’ celebrations against South Korea, where the Seleção coach took part in the famous “dove dance” with Richardson.

He wanted to point that out himself before the knockout quarterfinals and make it clear that he wanted to show that he was one with his players.

“Whoever attacks us because of these celebrations does not know the culture of Brazil, the Brazilian way of life, which is part of the upbringing of our children.

If I have to dance again, I will. All I’ve asked my players is to hide.” Tite initially emphasized at the press conference on Thursday (08.12.) to add:

“History has shown me that I respect everyone. I did this dance with Richarlison to connect with the new generation. I’m 61 years old and almost all the players could be my grandchildren.”

Regarding the win against South Korea dedicated to Pele, he said: “He’s an inspiration to everyone and I hope he recovers. His difficult time has united fans around the world. Pele is a global symbol of solidarity.”

Asked for his opinion on Zlatko Dalic’s team, he claimed that “Croatians have technical qualities both as individuals and as a team, they are an example of resilience and patience” while admitting that Alex Sandro hasn’t overcome the injury problem has and wants to be knocked out – from this game.
