World Cup
Seven former players and one new player will play in the quarterfinals of the World Cup
Five from Europe, two from South America and one from Africa will compete for the semi-final ticket. Such a continental set has not yet been met at the world championships. Brazil will play quarter-finals for the 14th time, England – 10th, Argentina and France – 8th, Netherlands – 5th, Portugal and Croatia – 3rd time. The company of seven old-timers will consist of a newcomer – Morocco.
Meanwhile, all group winners except Japan advanced to the 1/4 finals. More winners of the first stage played at this stage only at the 2010 World Cup.
