Alaba’s father-in-law arrested for attempting to overthrow the German government
Frank Heppner, father-in-law of former Bayern Munich football player David AlabaHe was arrested for attempting to overthrow the government in Germany. Heppner is suspected of involvement in the conspiracy of a far-right terrorist organization.
Alaba’s father-in-law reportedly had a role in the Reichsburg movement. If the proposed coup was successful, it was supposed to “seize the canteen of the new German Empire” and supply its armies with food.
Note that this week, around 3,000 armed police officers raided as many as 100 homes in Germany, as well as some cities in Austria and Italy. It was a special operation, during which possible participants of the anti-government movement were detained, planning to attack the Bundestag and arrest politicians.
Heppner is the father of David Alaba’s girlfriend Shalimar Heppner. Shalimar was born in Munich in 1994, the couple has one child.
