According to the medical press release, Pele’s health improved
Pele has been in the hospital for two weeks but his condition regarding the respiratory infection is improving, according to the hospital’s latest medical statement.
Fans of the Brazilian national team have had a strong experience lately, not only because the country’s national team won the World Cup title on the fields of Qatar without success (it was eliminated by Croatia in the quarterfinals and returned home early). but also because they saw world soccer legend Pele facing health issues.
Specifically, the black-and-white round goddess’ “black diamond” was hospitalized for two weeks for tests to re-evaluate the chemotherapy she’s undergoing to treat colon cancer, the Albert Einstein Hospital said Monday ( 12.12.) that his state of health with regard to the respiratory infection is improving.
“Edson Arantes do Nascimento (Pele) was admitted to the Israelita Albert Einstein Hospital on November 29, 2022 for re-evaluation of chemotherapy treatment for colon cancer discovered in September 2021.
Although no discharge is envisaged, the patient continues to show improvement in his clinical condition, particularly as regards respiratory infection. He remains in a shared room, conscious and with stable vital signs.”it says in the relevant Medical Bulletin.
It is noted that one of Pele’s daughters, Kelly Nascimento, visited her father in the hospital and posted photos with him, in one of which she holds one of the 82-year-old Brazilian legend’s hands.
