Zlatko Dalic: “Croatia playing boring football? We are in the semi-finals of the World Cup
Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic ignores criticism of his team ahead of the 2022 World Cup semi-final against Argentina, and he is confident that Croatians set an example for all teams from smaller countries.
“Croatia is among the top four teams in the World Cup. This is already an incredible achievement, but we want more. We’re going to play an incredible Messi against an incredible Argentina. Even though we played two playoff games with overtime, we are not tired at all. The team has rebounded.”
“Four years ago we reached the final, fulfilling a dream for all small countries. No one saw Croatia in the final and many teams were inspired by our example. Boring football? Dalic, we are in the semi-finals of the World Cup, what questions can be?
Croatia is one of the smallest countries in terms of population (approximately 3.9 million people) reaching the final of the World Cups.
