FULLKRUG: ‘I’m afraid of Germany’s reaction to the failure of the national team’
Defending Werder Bremen’s colors at club level, 29-year-old Niklas Fullkrug admitted that he was greatly disappointed by the public reaction to the German national team’s unsuccessful performance in Qatar.

“I am not afraid to say that I am afraid of how the failure of the national team is perceived in Germany – first the defeat of Japan and then the relegation at the group stage. This is such a shame.
Sometimes the team is asked for failure, not success. I don’t know why this is. “All I can say is that every player on the pitch is extremely proud to wear the jersey,” said Fullkrug.
As you know, in the 2022 World Cup, the German team took third place in the four, and for the second time in a row they were excluded from the World Cup playoffs.
