Sergio Aguero: We hope Argentina has a new Messi soon
Former Argentina striker and friend of Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, evaluated his performance at the World Cup in Qatar, where the team captain was the best player.
“Messi and Maradona are two great players, two idols and legends of different times. It just so happened that the World Cup was not awarded to Leo, we were close in 2014. But he achieved his goal at the age of 35 and his attitude showed that he always intended to do it. He won everything, he will prove it has nothing.
Argentina without Messi? Such players appear very rarely, after Maradona we found Messi. We hope a new Messi will emerge soon. Now we have many young players who can play good football. The Argentina national team has a future,” Aguero said in an interview with Stake.
Messi has said he is ready to continue his career in the national team after winning the 2022 World Cup.
