Infantino: “I’ve been to Greece, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, why not help organize the 2030 World Cup?”
Gianni Infantino spoke about the 2030 World Cup and left open the possibility of hosting it in Greece when asked about a possible co-candidacy with Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
FIFA President, Gianni InfantaHe leaves the 2022 World Cup in Qatar behind and prepares for the future. The tournament will move to America in 2026, with the United States, Canada and Mexico co-hosting, but the destination after that is unknown.
Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Greece are in contact for a joint candidacy and the Swiss factor was interviewed by Egyptian broadcaster Al Kass TV.
“I’ve been to these three countries and they were fantastic. The hosts of the 2030 World Cup will be decided in two years.” Infantino said at first.
“As President of FIFA, it’s good to have a number of potential hosts because it spurs us on to do our best. The 2022 World Cup was very successful and I know many people will return to Qatar in the future.” Why don’t we host the tournament in an Arab country again?”
