Ukraine, Spain and Portugal apply jointly to host 2030 World Cup

Ukraine has officially become one of the contenders to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup. Our country’s implementation will be in partnership with Spain and Portugal.

“Ukraine, Spain and Portugal have made a joint bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup! It is important that UEFA supports the initiative and finds a practical opportunity to make the dream of many generations of Ukrainian fans come true. Ukraine’s participation in the bid to host the 2030 World Cup is extremely important not only for our state, but also for uniting and strengthening the whole of Europe during joint difficult trials.

The joint organization of the 2030 World Cup with Spain and Portugal has the chance for Ukraine to become a bright football symbol of EU membership, which our state will also apply to in the coming years. The 2030 World Cup matches to be held in Ukraine, Spain and Portugal will underline the unity of Europe, from Lisbon and Madrid to Kyiv, Donetsk, Lugansk and Sevastopol. This event will be a symbol of football victory! Victory for world peace! This World Cup will also be historic because the 100th anniversary of the start of the world championship tournament will be celebrated in 2030.

The belief in the possibility of holding the 2030 World Cup in Ukraine is confirmed every day by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who, with their incredible heroism, proved the invincibility and inevitability of the victory of the Ukrainian people on the battlefield against the aggressor. We play football for the world and for the only team in the world! Glory to the heroes! Glory to the Armed Forces! Glory to Ukraine!” – says the message of the Football Federation of Ukraine.

The decision on who will host the 2030 World Cup will be announced in 2024.
