Argentine midfielder: “We don’t want Messi gone. Let’s see what he decides.”
Argentine midfielder Alexis McAllister does not yet know what decision Lionel Messi will make about playing for the national team.
Before the 2022 World Cup, Messi was talking about leaving the national team, but after the victory in the tournament, he may change his mind.
“We do not want Messi to leave the Argentina national team despite saying that the 2022 World Cup will be his last tournament. But we hope he will continue to be with us. He knows, let’s see what he decides. I think all of us on the team still don’t realize what we’ve accomplished.
“I am happy that I helped the team win the World Cup. And I am happy for Messi because only this trophy was missing from the collection,” said McAllister.
There is certainty regarding the forward’s club career – Lionel will continue to play for PSG.
