Serie A: 1.5 month break in the new season because of the World Cup
The Serie A organizer has reached the dates for the new season and decided to take a break of around 1.5 months due to the World Cup in Qatar.
Lega Serie A met on Monday and made decisions on the length of the 2022/2023 season’s suspension due to the 2022 World Cup.
The organizer has set the dates of the new season, which include a gap from November 14 to early January 2023. The World Cup in Qatar is scheduled to take place from November 21st to December 18th.
The year begins on Saturday, August 13th, a week earlier than usual, and ends on June 4th.
At the same time, according to Calciomercato, during the World Cup, the teams in the league decided that the clubs would travel to the United States to take part in international friendlies, so that the players who will not be in Qatar remain vigilant.
