FIFA launches investigation into World Cup celebrations in Argentina and Croatia
FIFA will launch an investigation into Argentina and Croatia’s celebrations during World Cup matches against France and Morocco respectively.
FIFA announced on Friday (January 13) that it would initiate proceedings against Argentina and Croatia for abusive behavior during the 2022 World Cup games.
FIFA’s investigation will focus on the World Cup final against France as well as the small final in which Croatia faced Morocco.
With regard to the world champions, the association will investigate possible breaches of Articles 11 (offensive behavior and breach of the principles of fair play) and 12 (misconduct by players and referees).
In their update, FIFA doesn’t mention which celebrations they will be focusing on, but one of the names they are targeting is Emiliano Martines.
We remember that celebrated his rise to the top World Cup goalkeeper 2022 with the trophy in front of his genitals.
As for Croatia, during the third-place celebrations, a VIDEO shared on social media showed Croatian players celebrating and singing Nazi songs.
