The international matches of the Russian and Ukrainian teams take place on neutral pitches
In addition to changing the venue for the final, UEFA has decided that the Russian and Ukrainian sides will play their international matches in neutral venues until recently.
At the extraordinary meeting of UEFA, it was decided that the Russian and Ukrainian teams, in addition to relocating the Champions League final, would also forego their international matches neutral seats up to newer.
It is worth noting that only Spartak Moscow has European commitments and, more precisely, plays in the round of 16 of the Europa League, while Ukraine has no representative.
Clubs aside, the same decision obviously applies to national team signings. The Russian national team, together with Poland, Sweden and the Czech Republic, is taking part in the playoffs for qualification for the 2022 World Cup, the games will take place in March. Specifically, they meet Poland on March 24, with whom they will meet Sweden-Czech Republic winners in the final.
The same applies to the national team of Ukraine, who play against Scotland on March 24 and in case of a qualification on March 29 against the winner of the doubles Wales – Austria.
