MESSI: “This award is given to the entire team that won the World Cup in Qatar”
PSG striker Lionel Messi He commented on receiving the best player award in 2022, according to FIFA:
“It is a great honor for me to participate in this event and receive this award. It’s impossible to be more worried than I am now.
I want to make special mention of Benzema and Mbappe, who had a great year. I am grateful to my partners, Scaloni and Emiliano are also here today and we represent the whole team. This award is for the whole team that won the World Cup in Qatar.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker was awarded the 2022 Player of the Year award by Gianni Infantino. French striker Karim Benzema of Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappé of PSG were also nominated for the top 3.
