Roberto Mancini announced the mission of Italy, which will claim its presence at the 2022 World Cup through the draws in March.

Roberto Mancini has announced the 33-man Italy squad for World Cup 2022 qualifying.

The European champions meet North Macedonia in the semi-finals of their journey on Thursday 24 March and if they progress, they will battle winners Portugal-Turkey for a ‘ticket’ to Qatar on the 29th of the month.

Mario Balotelli is not in the squad, although striker Adana Demirspor was called up for training in January.

Instead, the member of the mission is Joao Pedro, the 30-year-old Brazilian striker from Cagliari who has become a naturalized Italian and is preparing for his debut. With him is a compatriot, Luiz Felipe, the 24-year-old Lazio stopper who also got an Italian passport and was called up to the national team.
