Lionel Messi, who won the 2022 Sportsman of the Year award at the Laureus Sports Awards, spoke about his dream come true by winning the World Cup in Barcelona while not mentioning Paris.
Lionel Messi was named Sportsman of the Year 2022 at the Laureus Sports Awards, which took place on Monday (May 8th). This was the second time the Argentine star received this award after 2020 when he won it for the first time.
Pulga spoke about his dream come true by winning the World Cup, citing his great achievements with Barcelona without mentioning Paris.
“It’s an honor to share the nomination with all these amazing athletes that I admire so much. Anyone could have won her.
It’s always nice to receive such recognition. This year I was lucky enough to fulfill my big dream of becoming world champion.
It cost me a lot, almost my entire career. In between I went through everything, a lot of joy with Barcelona and a lot of sadness with the national team, but I never stopped and everything was a lesson for me.
There were many obstacles along the way, but I’ve always tried to improve with the support of my people. I am very grateful that I was able to fulfill my dream and that of a whole country.
It took time to work but it was the nicest thing that happened to me. This award applies to all of Argentina. Thanks very much”, Messi said.
