Japan and Saudi Arabia qualified for the World Cup finals
Japan and Saudi Arabia reached the World Cup finals thanks to the Blue Samurai’s 2-0 victory over Australia in Sydney. A total of 17 teams, including the hosts, qualified for the main event.
Two other teams qualified for the World Cup finals in Qatar. These are Japan and Saudi Arabia, who, thanks to the Blue Samurai’s away win in Australia, celebrated qualification 2-0 and are thus behind the “Kangaroos” six (Japan) and four (Saudi Arabia).
Of course, through the play-offs with the third group of the other group (currently the United Arab Emirates) in the Asia-Oceania zone, Australia can claim the ticket to qualify for the World Cup.
