According to a report by Marca, Saudi Arabia has withdrawn its bid for the 2030 World Cup while informing Greece and Egypt of its decision.
Saudi Arabia secured the 2030 World Cup together with Greece and Egypt. However, as Marca reports, this possibility does not exist. The publication said that Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud has informed Greece and Egypt that he will not submit a candidacy.
The reason seems to lie in the strong candidacy of Spain, together with Portugal and Morocco, countries that have further strengthened their position after this development.
