Santos: “I dream of winning the World Cup with Portugal”
Fernando Santos, in his statements immediately after the game against North Macedonia, stated that he dreams of winning the World Cup to achieve the three title conquests with the Portuguese national team.
Fernando Santos was delighted with the Portuguese national team’s entry into the World Cup, beating North Macedonia 2-0 in the playoff final, which was also reflected in his statements immediately after the end of the game.
The Portuguese coach stressed that he dreams of winning a third title with the Iberians after winning the European Championship and the Nations League, but stressed that the Portuguese must first focus on other commitments ahead of the World Cup.
When asked which team he dreams of being drawn to the final of the tournament, Santos said: “The only dream I have that is allowed is to win a third tournament (ss with Portugal). I won two, now I’m dreaming of the World Cup. But as time goes on there are events leading up to the World Cup and when the time comes we will prepare for that too“.
