Saudi Arabia withdraws bid to host 2030 World Cup
Saudi Arabia has decided to withdraw its candidacy to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
It was reported that the representatives of Saudi Arabia thoroughly examined their applications and concluded that it would be extremely problematic for Portugal, Spain and Morocco to compete on equal terms with the joint application.
As you know, Saudi Arabia initially decided to compete with Greece and Egypt in the 2030 World Cup.
Recall that the joint application of Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile will also compete for the right to host the 2030 World Cup.
The host selection of the 2030 FIFA World Cup will be held in 2024 at the organization’s 74th Congress.
