World Cup
And immediately a sensation! Women’s World Championship has begun
The Women’s World Cup kicked off in Auckland, New Zealand. In the opening match of the tournament, the teams of New Zealand and Norway met on the field.
Despite the local walls, the New Zealand team was on the weak side of the challenge – before that they had never won 15 matches at the World Championships. The Norwegian team became world champion in 1991, champion in 1995 and lost in the match for third place in 2007.
The game brought a sensational result – the New Zealand team won 1:0.
In Group A, where the New Zealand and Norway national teams play, the Swiss and Philippines teams are also competing. Face-to-face meetings in the 1st round will take place on Friday, July 21.
