An Irish player avoided shaking hands with her Australian rival amid rumors that the latter is dating the former’s ex-partner.

the irish player, Ruesa Littlejohn, pointedly avoided the handshake with her Australian opponent, Caitlin Foord, in the group stage of the Women’s World Cup.

The scene from Ireland’s game against Australia (0-1) at the Women’s World Cup went viral in the last few hours. Ruesa Littlejohn had every reason not to shake hands with her rival.
