Asian women were “devastated” after being knocked out by Sweden in the quarterfinals of the World Cup
Sweden defeated Japan 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Women’s World Cup, with the Asian women collapsing on the pitch after being eliminated by the Scandinavians.
Sweden defeated Japan 2-1 to secure coveted qualification for the semi-finals of the World CupWomen’s World Cup 2023. Despite being two goals behind, the Asian women almost equalized with two goals.
After being eliminated by the Scandinavians, the Asians literally “collapsed” on the field. The Japanese striker fell to the ground crying and the Swede Yona Andersson rushed to comfort her, sobbing, in a stark contrast of feelings.
