England 2-1 Colombia: With a surprise in the semi-finals of the World Cup
England continue on their way to the World Cup after surprisingly defeated Colombia in the quarter-finals.
England qualified for the semi-finals of the 2023 World Cup after a win 2-1 against that Colombia in Sydney, after a reversal.
The Colombians, supported by a majority of the 75,784 crowd, took the lead in the 44th minute through a lob from Lacey Santos, but in added time in the 1st half, Lauren Hebb equalized after a shot to make it 1-1 by Catalina Perez
A counterattack in the 63rd minute favored Alesia Russo, who made it 2-1 from close range and sent England through to the semi-finals of the event for the third consecutive time.
The European champions will meet co-hosts Australia for a place in the final, while Spain and Sweden will face off in the other semi-final.
