Spain Prime Minister: ‘Rubiales’ apologies are not enough, his actions are unacceptable’
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez called Rubiales’ attempt to kiss Hermoso on the mouth unacceptable and said his apologies were insufficient.
After the uproar sparked by the incident in which Rubiales kissed Hermoso on the mouth, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez took a stand and called the actions of the President of the Federation unacceptable.
“The players did everything to win” He first explained, while when asked if he would like to remove Rubiales, he said: “The President of the Federation is elected or dismissed by the members of the Federation.
“I think what we saw was an unacceptable move. I also believe that Mr Rubiales’ apology was not sufficient and he must take steps to explain what we have all seen.” His behavior does not correspond to the opinion of the majority of citizens who support equality between men and women.”
