FIFA sues Spanish federation president for kissing at World Cup
FIFA filed a disciplinary action against the president of the Spanish Football Federation on 24 August. Luis RubialesKissing the lips of the Spanish football player during the victory celebration in the women’s world championship final.
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee will consider whether Rubiales has violated the FIFA Code of Conduct regarding “ground rules of decent behavior” and “behavior that puts the sport of football and/or FIFA at a disadvantage”.
Note that Rubiales kissed Jenny Hermoso on the lips during the trophy and medal ceremony after Spain’s victory over England (1:0) in Sydney (Australia) on Sunday.
Hermoso said he didn’t like the kiss after the incident, and the national players’ union that represents him and once led by Rubiales (46) called on Wednesday not to go unpunished for his behavior.
There was also a part on camera where Rubiales caught himself with his hand in the groin area. At that time, he was sitting on the podium with Queen of Spain Letizia and 16-year-old Princess Sofia.
