Ceferin on Rubiales: “His behavior was inappropriate”
Aleksandar Ceferin spoke to L’Equipe about Rubiales and called his behavior towards Jenny Hermoso during the ongoing Women’s World Cup awards ceremony inappropriate.
Aleksandar Ceferin called Luis Rubiales’ behavior inappropriate but said he did not want to interfere in FIFA’s disciplinary investigation into the former Spanish Football Federation president.
“Obviously what he did was inappropriate. We all know that. I hope he knows it was inappropriate. That’s enough for the moment, because the independent disciplinary bodies will decide on that.”the UEFA President told French newspaper L’Equipe on Wednesday, adding:
“His case is in the hands of the FIFA Disciplinary Body. Any comments I make will sound like pressure. He is suspended from all functions and everywhere. He doesn’t have to do that twice.”
