– Do you think the draw will be a positive result for the Ukrainian team?

I hope that today our Sergei Rebrov will surprise his English colleague Gareth Southgate with his game plan.

– What is in your mind?

– I will not be a prophet because I have no information about the situation of our players. Therefore, it is difficult to say which tactical plan Rebrov will choose and who he will trust to carry out the missions. After the final whistle we can talk in more detail about what worked and what didn’t. Although the emphasis is on high pressure or quick goals from the first minutes, it is possible that Vladislav Vanat, our only striker with the necessary game practice, will unexpectedly join the fight.

– If we are talking about game training, then a whole group of our football players – Vitaly Mykolenko, Roman Yaremchuk, Taras Stepanenko, Andrey Yarmolenko – cannot boast of this.

– There is no need to dramatize the situation. These are experienced football players who compensate for the lack of match training with motivation and desire to play, but I cannot. They will be fine now.

– Still, what “trump cards” do you need to fight against the British?

– The England team today actually has almost no weaknesses. However, I would like to challenge them to compete in speed. We have mobile players who are just Mikhail Mudrik. But there is no need to delve into this issue, because the final word is still with Rebrov. I estimate the opponents’ chances at 50/50.
