Saudi Arabia has made an official application to host the 2034 World Cup, the country’s football association has officially announced.

FIFA has decided that the 2030 World Cup will be held in six countries. Spain, Portugal and Morocco will make up the bulk of the tournament and, for symbolic reasons, three opening games will be played in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.

Saudi Arabia has submitted an official request to host the 2034 tournament, the country’s football association said.


It is recalled that FIFA has invited confederations from Asia and Oceania to submit nominations for this event, with Australia expressing interest in hosting it.
