OFFICIALLY. Saudi Arabia makes bid to host 2034 World Cup
Saudi Arabia It made a bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2034.
The country’s football federation has sent an official letter to FIFA with the intention of holding the World Cup. The appeal was signed by the president of the federation, Yasser Al-Missehali.
“Last week we announced our intention to host the World Cup, and today we sent an official letter proving our determination to make our people’s dream come true. Organizing such a tournament is an invitation to the world to see the development of our country, to see our culture, to be a part of our history,” he said.
It was previously known that FIFA gave the 2030 World Cup to Spain, Portugal, Morocco, as well as Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, where three matches will be played.
