Antonio Sanabria spat at Messi behind his back
Paraguay’s Antonio Sanabria had a verbal altercation with Lionel Messi and as soon as the Argentine turned his back on him, he spat at him.
Lionel Messi came on as a substitute in Argentina’s game against Paraguay and although Otamendi scored a stunning goal to give the Albiceleste victory, it was ‘Pulga’ who caught the attention.
The reason was his heated argument with Antonio Sanabria, in which the two footballers engaged in a verbal duel. But as soon as the Argentine turned his back, Torino’s Paraguayan striker spat at him.
Messi explained straight after the game that he didn’t understand, while also throwing punches that he didn’t… know him.
