With the Middle Eastern nation the undisputed favorite to host the tournament, the Monica Staabtechnical director of the Saudi women’s national team, wanted to take advantage of the special condition and express the country’s desire to host the 2035 Women’s World Cup.

I believe that the future of women’s football in Saudi Arabia is bright. I told the sports officials that it takes time to get to the World Cup. I know they want to host the men’s World Cup. Why not host the Women’s World Cup in 2035? Now we are preparing a team that will at least be competitive at this level” she said on the sidelines of her speech at an international forum held in London last week.
