World Cup
Spain has identified 10 stadiums for the 2030 World Cup
It is known that there are ten stadiums in Spain that are likely to host 2030 World Cup matches.
The list included:
- Madrid (Santiago Bernabeu and Wanda Metropolitano)
- Barcelona (Camp Nou and RCDE Stadium)
- Seville (La Cartuja)
- Bilbao (San Mames)
- A Coruña (Riasor)
- Málaga (La Rosaleda)
- Zaragoza (“La Romareda”)
- Valencia (Luis Mestalla)
Valencia and Zaragoza will only be able to host World Cup matches if the clubs contribute to improving the infrastructure.
Spain is also looking elsewhere. Candidates include Vigo, San Sebastian, Gijon, Murcia and Gran Canaria.
Additionally, the 2030 emergency matches will be held in four stadiums in Portugal and six stadiums in Morocco. The final will be hosted by Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu, but it has been reported that a stadium in Morocco also wants to host it.
