Australia has withdrawn its interest in hosting the 2034 World Cup
Football Federation Australia announced in a statement that it would not bid to host the 2034 World Cup.
The 2034 World Cup appears to be on track for Saudi Arabia, which has already submitted a formal request to FIFA to host it, as Australia has officially announced it has withdrawn its interest in hosting the tournament.
The Oceanian country was in the running to host the tournament along with Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, but will ultimately not apply.
FIFA is waiting to submit documents to host the 2034 World Cup, but so far Saudi Arabia is “playing” alone.
