Saudi Arabia says it is ready to host the 2034 World Cup in either winter or summer
High temperatures do not appear to be a problem for Saudi Arabia. After receiving the green light from FIFA to host the 2034 World Cup, Saudi Arabia agrees to host the World Cup all year round.
History was made in the World Cup held at the stadiums of Qatar in 2022 as it was the first time in the institution that it was held in winter rather than summer, leading many to believe that something similar will also happen in 2034, following Gianni Infantino’s public declaration that the final phase of the World Cup this year will take place in Saudi Arabia.
However, this is not a given, as the president of the country’s football association, Yasser Al Mishal, emphasized in his statements to “AFP” that Saudi Arabia has the ability to organize this major football event even in the summer.
“There are many new technologies that allow us to cool or air-condition all stages, not to mention that many cities in the Kingdom enjoy a very pleasant atmosphere in summer.”
We are ready to face all possibilities,” He said Saudi Arabia is currently the clear favorite to host the tournament as it is the only country that has bid for the 2034 World Cup finals.
