World Cup
Neither Maradona, nor Messi, nor Ronaldo. The best player in World Cup history has been announced
British publication FourFourTwo presented 33 football players in history who showed themselves most brightly at the World Championships.
The top of the rating was taken by Brazilian Pele, the only three-time world champion in history. Argentinian Lionel Messi took second place, while his compatriot Diego Maradona took third place.
It is interesting that five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal was left out of the FourFourTwo list.
