VIDEO. How did Di Maria and Paredes provoke Brazilian fans?
The Brazilian team lost to Argentina (0:1) in the 2026 World Cup qualifying match, but the match was remembered mostly for the incident in the stands.
Even before the start of the match, during the anthems, fans of the two teams clashed in the stands, tearing chairs and throwing them at each other, while local police calmed the most violent ones with batons.
Initially, the reasons for the fans’ sudden aggression were unknown, but later some details began to emerge.
