The Iranian delegation will still participate in the draw for the final part of the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in Washington next Friday.
Previously, the region’s fate rested on its food supply via threats to boycott access to the aphid visa system with the United States.
The Iranian Football Federation (FFIRI) has submitted nine applications for US visas for its delegates, but has received no commendations for more of them. Among those acquitted at the exit, the president of the federation, Mehdi Taj, also quit.
The official previously stated that he had met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and said the Iranian representative would not appear at the ceremony because not all visas would be visible.
Issue the ultimatum: the boycott will not become a reality. The head coach of the Iranian national team, Amir Galenoy, and the head coach of the FFIRI international team, Omid Jamali, have already arrived in the United States.

Iran successfully qualified for its seventh world championship in history and fourth year. The draw for the tournament will take place on Friday at 7pm Kyiv time.
