Oleksandr PIKHALENOK: “There is no other way but to win Scotland”
Ukraine national team midfielder Oleksandr Pikhalyonok hopes that a long training camp will help the team prepare for the 2022 World Cup qualifying match against Scotland.
“I am slowly getting used to the 2x exercise regimen. We are expecting a group of players from Dynamo Kyiv and Artem Dovbik. There will be more people and I think the game series will start. We are gradually gaining the game conditions and getting used to the field. Conditions here are perfect, it’s a sin to complain. The area is perfect, the terrain is simply magnificent, there are mountains everywhere. I love everything. We have very good workloads today, but Alexander Vasilyevich says tomorrow they will be even more.”
“There is no time to rest, you need to prepare. We have no other choice, we must definitely go through Scotland. It is necessary to please our people, to give them positive emotions.”
The Scotland-Ukraine match will be played on 1 June.
