According to the UAF press service, the Ukrainian national team will play two potential matches of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Valencia, Spain, at the Ciutat de Valencia stadium, which is home to local football club Levante and whose stands have a capacity of 26 people.
Various possible options are reportedly being evaluated in different countries. However, the chosen stadium was the most appropriate solution in terms of the interests of the national team. Following the executive board’s decision, UAF management was instructed to conclude an agreement with the stadium and notify UEFA of the approved option.
In case of victory against the Swedish national team, the Ukrainian team will play with the winner of the Poland-Albania double for a ticket to the World Cup. Ukraine will play the final match at home on March 31, again conditionally.
In addition to the 12 teams that finished second in their groups, the 4 winners of the Nations League quartet will also participate in the play-offs. All 16 participants are divided into 4 paths. Each route will include a semi-final and a final. The semi-finals will be held on March 26, and the finals will be held on March 31, 2026.
