Mikhail MUDRIK: “I could not have imagined such an exit”
On May 11, the Ukrainian national team defeated Borussia Mönchengladbach. The game ended with a score of 2:1. Mihail Mudrik scored one goal and was recognized as the best player of the match.
After meeting, Mikhail shared his feelings from his debut.
– Only good feelings, what else could it be. I could not have imagined such an exit – the national team won and I scored a goal. Everything is going well. There was no excitement before the match, which is common.
– You took the initiative, you beat it. Do you want to show yourself?
– Before the match, I had the opposite thoughts in my head – I will not show myself, I will not show anyone.
– Shaparenko assisted you. Did you quickly form a relationship?
Yes, we understand each other. Maybe we see football the same way. When that happens, it’s always easier on the field. At the end of the game, I wanted to give him credit. I think I gave him a good pass.
And the transition to me is so sweet. He did everything as it should. He saw that I was gaining speed and that I didn’t need to pass the ball, and he let go.
– How did you feel when there was war in Ukraine, but did the Ukrainians support you in Germany?
– That we are a friendly, strong and united nation.
“We have a lot of work ahead of us.
“Everything is just beginning,” Mudrik said.
