Alexander KARAVAEV: “It was not easy for us with Borussia M. The game took power”
The defender of the Ukrainian national team, Oleksandr Karavaev, shared his views on the preparations for the test match with Borussia Mönchengladbach (2:1) and the duel with Scotland.
We got quite high loads in the Borussia match. We played with custom t-shirts that allowed the coaching team to monitor our performance. The pace of the match was high and I cannot say that it was easy. It took a lot of energy to play with such a serious opponent. However, we keep up with the regime determined by our mentors during the training process. We must work to reach the fight against Scotland step by step.”
“Since we don’t have official matches, we have to treat friendlies as if they were official matches and show everything we did in practice.”
“We pay maximum attention to what the coaching team asks of us so that we have 100% conditions for each match and can solve the set tasks,” said Karavaev.
