Alexander PIKHALENOK: “I wouldn’t have talked to you if it weren’t for my father”
Oleksandr Pikhalyonok, midfielder of the Ukraine national team, who scored the winning goal against Borussia (M) in his first match, said that he will always be grateful to his father for his sports career, and that he remembers the UEFA Youth League final as a part of it. Shakhtar also acknowledged with whom the best interaction on the field was at a football match.
“If it weren’t for my father, I wouldn’t be talking to you here. I am so grateful to him, I did a lot of work in my childhood thanks to him.
UEFA Youth League Final vs Chelsea (lost 2-3 in 2015 – ed.)? Chelsea had a very strong squad. I don’t think we are inferior to them, but only in the final one team wins and the other loses.
I played with Ignatenko both in the Shakhtar reserve team and in Mariupol. He puts more emphasis on defense and the ball. “We’ve been playing together for a long time and we understand each other very well,” he said.
