VIDEO. Diary of the Ukrainian team. Emotional rise after Eurovision
Sunday morning, May 15 Ukraine national team was enthusiastically received.
The song “Stefania” was on everyone’s lips after the victory of the Kalush Orchestra, where the collections were watched live: someone sings, someone quotes, someone listens. Ukraine’s victory at Eurovision is that important emotional boost that the Ukrainian nation needs now, and the children are aware that Ukrainians expect the same from them.
On May 15, the blue-yellows had two training sessions on the field. In the morning, the work focused on the execution and actions during the fixed parts, as well as on the mutual understanding of individual connections – defense and attack.
In the evening, the coaching staff once again devoted their attention to passing and ball control and worked through the series of games with varying tasks. At the end of the lesson, the children worked on shots into the goal, including completing the crosses made from the wings. All 23 players currently in the camp of the country’s main team worked in both training sessions.
At noon on May 16, three more foreign players will arrive in Brdo – Danilo Sikan, Taras Kacharaba and Alexander Zubkov, who played the last games of the club season this weekend.
The compilations will train with the trio on Monday afternoon, then have dinner and head to the airport. The charter flight from Ljubljana to Pisa is scheduled for 20:30 CET: the flight will take about an hour. From the airport, the blue-yellows will take the bus to Florence (90 km), where they will stay at the local Hilton hotel.
The Ukrainian team will travel from there for the match in Empoli, 35 km from Florence, on 17 May. After the Empoli match, the Ukrainians will return to Hilton and take a charter flight to Rijeka the next morning, where they will play a test match with the local club.
