YAREMCHUK: “We must show ourselves and remind the world that the aggressor is Russia”

Benfica striker Roman Yaremchuk the first of the legionnaires joined the national team of Ukraine. Sharing his impressions after the first training, the football player also talked about the importance of the upcoming matches.

“I have already said that it is always very nice to return to the national team, to see my partners. A warm meeting with the guys ensued – they kissed and hugged.

I am feeling very positive and most importantly that we are all alive and well. After the club season, I am not very tired, everything is fine. I will prepare for the national team matches, which is a great motivation.

We train in wartime, I have a lot of friends who are on the front lines right now. My family is in Lviv, we call each other for almost half an hour and ask how things are going. Of course, I am very worried about this situation.

It’s good that collectibles manage to break up and fight. I consider it necessary for the Ukrainian national team to show its face abroad. After all, the attention of our fans will be on us, so we need to show ourselves as well as possible. Remind the world that Russia is the aggressor. And we need to go to Qatar,” said Yaremchuk.
