Roman YAREMCHUK: “One week to Scotland. Let’s examine the opponent”
Roman Yaremchuk, the striker of the Ukrainian national team, spoke about the two-day rest before the resumption of preparations against Scotland in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
“Good feeling, children rested, visited with their spouses. Everything is going well. I stayed in Slovenia because I had a long flight to Lisbon, but nevertheless I am glad I had a good time here. I found opportunities for self-study, because it is somehow wrong to spend two days in a hotel. We went out with the coach, we worked.
The matches played with Empoli and Rijeka were very important because everyone had their match minutes. In the first game there was also a winning result, in the second of course they wanted more, but they did not lose. Everyone was satisfied and went to the weekend in a good mood.
We have one week left to the Scotland game, so the most important thing right now is to listen to the coaches’ instructions. We will learn more about our opponent. Before the match, we have to work efficiently for the remaining time. And of course luck is on our side,” said Yaremchuk.
