Valeriy BONDAR: “We are preparing for one of the most important matches of our lives”

Defender of the national team of Ukraine Valery Bondar He talked about the current stage of the team’s preparations for the upcoming matches.

“The training process is going very well. I would say not very thoughtful, there are physical moments too. We are preparing for one of the most important matches of our lives.

In the first part of the camp, we did two training sessions. Now we can go to the gym in the morning and practice in the evening. Of course, we have different events every day. We already feel physically in good shape.

There is no fatigue because we are in the national team. We know why we’re gathered here, why we’re doing all this, and we’re training.

I want to congratulate Andrei Lunin, his wife and family. This is great happiness. I am very happy for him, I know Andrei very well, he is a very good man. I congratulate Lunin on his victory in the Spanish Championship and on such an important event in his life.

Of course we will be cheering for Andrei in the Champions League final. Recently we were supporting Oleksandr Zinchenko and we were very happy. Here on the field, they watched the match, hoping that he would win the trophy, and it happened. Now we will root for Lunin,” said Bondar.

Recall that the 1/2 final match between the national teams of Scotland and Ukraine in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers will be played on 1 June at Hampden Park stadium in Glasgow.
